Tether Photography: The Future of Remote Productions
It has been a goal of ours to expand our photography services to clients despite where they’re located. Recently, we included photography productions that are fully tethered and are available remotely. Thanks to the Capture One Pro app, it is possible to create remotely with live access! This is an innovative step forward, especially for remote companies!
WHAT IS TETHER PHOTOGRAPHY?
Photo tethering is a process of connecting a camera to a computer and an imaging software, to view the captured images as they are taken. Viewing the images live in action through a monitor helps us as creators to ensure the perfect shot is captured! We risk losing or missing specific details like focus and composition, by depending on a camera’s view finder. In addition to its effectiveness and high quality purposes, tether photography is an efficient process that allows getting the perfect shot. This is super impactful to clients as they instantly are able to view images, provide feedback and approval during their productions without actually being on set.
INTRODUCING REMOTE PHOTOGRAPHY PRODUCTIONS:
By utilizing the Capture One software, we can share images directly with clients as the photos are being taken in the studio! This is possible by downloading the Capture One app, then a client is provided with a link that directly gives them live access to their production. As a client, you will view photos of your product being taken in real time while being remote, and are able to view & approve creativity as it happens. We want clients to collaborate in this creative process thanks to this Capture One Live feature, to suggest changes before the final product images are released for retouching.
Although we are primarily located in Miami, Florida - this process is more efficient, innovative, and inclusive for remote photography productions.
